A bold leader known for innovative approaches to pervasive problems, Monique R. Fletcher has over 20 years of experience working with non-profit organizations, communities, and families to address conditions that exist because of poverty and oppression. As the owner of M. Fletcher & Associates, Monique provides training and technical assistance to build organizational cultures that develop and strengthen systems in support of diversity, equity and inclusion in communities and schools. Monique led an Investing in Innovation (i3) grant from the US Department of Education with a focus on increasing engagement, inclusion, and leadership of families across nine diverse schools in the South Bronx.

As an Adjunct Professor at Syracuse University Falk College School of Social Work, Monique has taught graduate courses in Social Welfare Policy, Human Diversity and is currently teaching LGBTQ Health and Well-being. She is committed to supporting the teaching, learning, and designing the practices necessary to ensure equity for all. She is originally from a small town in the Midwest, Quincy, Illinois, and currently resides outside of Atlanta, GA. She loves to be active, listens to music, and believes in listening, learning, and changing.
